Engrave - typeface
Having recently lost my Grandad to a brain tumour I was inspired to explore my feelings of loss through a creative project. I wanted to create a typeface that was exemplary of how I was feeling at the time. Living directly across from an ancient Edinburgh graveyard I began exploring how others had commemorated their loved ones. These graves were so old that the weathering of the stones had completely washed away the writing. Using these weathered letters I developed the typeface EnGrave.
